Hopi Ear Candles

What is it?

Hopi ear candles is a cotton tube which has honey, beeswax and therapeutic oils in it. This is then inserted into the ear to remove impurities and also help head and ear problems.

How does it work?

With this treatment you lie down on your side, the candle is then placed into your ear and then lit. When it is lit the candle creates a gentle heat and when burning with the therapeutic oils will produce a suction action. This brings impurities to the surface where they can be removed. The number of treatments you need to have depends on how quickly the candle burns down.

How much does it cost?

Each session should last about 45-60 minutes and normally costs around $40 but this can vary depending on what practitioner you use.

Are there any side effects?

Hopi ear candles do not result any serious side effects although they can cause major damage if you have an ear infection, recent ear surgery or allergies to any of the products in the candle so do not have the treatment if you have any of these conditions.
